What to Look For

Most people are looking for the following types of products. At Maxxmar, we manufacture almost every type of product that exists in the window covering industry.

Here is what you might be looking for and where you can find it in our product line. Window Treatments / Window Coverings – All Maxxmar products would fall under this category, all products are manufactured to cover windows or openings similar to windows.

Custom Blinds – All Maxxmar products are custom made to your window size. Anything you select will be custom made. We do not manufacture stock or ready made products. Window Shades – This refers to products like Cellular Shades, Dual Shades, Interior Roller Shades, Outdoor/Exterior Rollers Shades, Roman Shades, Sunset Shades, Dream Shades.

Window Blinds / Horizontal Blinds – This refers to products like 2” Blinds which we make in booth Wood and Faux Wood materials.

Vertical Blinds / Vertical Shades – This refers to products like Dream Shades, Panel Tracks, PVC Verticals. These products are usually used for Patio Door applications or large floor to ceiling windows in condos.

Roller Shades / Roller Blinds / Solar Shades – This refers to a specific type product that rolls up and down on or into a cassette/valance. We would call these Interior Roller Shades or Outdoor/Exterior Rollers Shades.

Roman Shades – This refers to a type of product favoured by Interior Designs, they are similar to Roller Shades but have a flat or hobbled design with more artistic or design orientated fabrics. These would be called Roman Shades in our product line as well.

Blackout Blinds / Blackout Shades / Privacy Blinds / Privacy Shades – Anything in our line that refers to “Room Darkening” would be what you are looking for. For example Blackout Channels, Miracle Fit or Miracle Channel, Room Darkening Fabrics, Cellular Room Darkening Systems, Roller Room Darkening Systems, Double Shade or Opera Systems.

Plantation Shutters / California Shutters – This refers to products like our Cashmere Wood Shutter, Somerset Vinyl Shutter, Summerview Vinyl Shutter, Talento Vinyl Shutter, Tilia Wood Shutter. We do not manufacture composite shutters or use composite materials in our shutters.

Honeycomb Shades – This refers to energy efficient products that have an accordion or cell like fabric structure. We call these Cellular Shades in our product line.Zebra Blinds / Zebra Shades – This refers to a specific type product that has bands of fabric that are both solid and sheer, these resemble the stripes on a zebra. These bands/stripes overlap to control the amount of light that comes in and also roll into a cassette/valance. We call these Dual Shades.

Sheer Horizontal / Sheer Shades – This refers to a specific type product that has sheer louvers that help with light control. These louvers tilt to control the amount of light that comes in and also roll into a cassette/valance. We call these Sunset Shades.

Motorized Blinds / Smart Blinds – Anything in our line that refers to MaxxMotor, Somfy or Motorization overall is what you would be looking for. These would be motorized products that work with a remote or wall switch and can be paired with devices for home automation or smart home.

Energy Efficient Window Coverings / Energy Efficient Blinds – All products will help with Energy Efficiency compared to a bare or uncovered window but Cellar Shades specifically have the best performance in this category. The honeycomb or cell structure helps trap air to insulate the opening.

Outdoor Blinds / Outdoor Shades / Patio Blinds / Patio Shades / Exterior Blinds / Exterior Shades / Outdoor Roll Up Blinds / Waterproof Outdoor Blinds / Porch Blinds / Gazebo Blinds / Backyard Blinds / Deck Blinds / Backyard Blinds / Cabana Blinds / Pergola blinds / Pergola Shades – All of these various terms would relate to our Outdoor/Exterior Rollers Shades which can be controlled manually or via motorization. This product is meant specifically for outdoor use or applications.
